Introduction & Objectives

The EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® Credential Certification program to recognize specialists who have strong project controls and project management skills and meet a demanding set of competencies in program and project management; risk management; quality management; scheduling; cost management; project budgeting; project finance; Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and application, implementing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) benchmarks and EVMS best practices; and EVMS global industry standards (EIA-748-D) implementation.

The EVMP® credential is awarded based on experience, education, completion of a rigorous 5 Day (40 hours) EVMP® credential certification preparation program, completion of several case studies; completion of several exercises; agreeing to EVMI®’s ethical qualifications and standards and successfully passing a 4 hour 4 questions EVMP® credential certification examination.

*The EVMP® credential certification program provides you with all the skills sets and tools required to build a comprehensive, scalable and robust EIA-748-D Earned Value Management System (EVMS) based on all 32 guidelines of the EIA-748-D Industry Standards. The EVMP® credential covers modules on roles and functions of the Control Account Manager (CAM) and developing the Control Account Manager (CAM) notebook.

*Designing the EVMS Architecture; Developing an EVMS Policy; and Developing an EVMS System Description Documentation (SDD) are covered in the EVMP® credential certification. The EVMP® credential program provides skills and develops technical competencies in all areas required to implement efficient and effective Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management, quality management, cost estimating, project controls and scheduling; project oversight, project transparency, project accountability and responsible project management implementation and execution on projects across industry and government.

EVMP® CREDENTIAL CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

PART A: THEORY (36 HOURS)

To become Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® certified, an 80% passing grade on the 4 hour EVMP® Exam must be achieved by the EVMP® exam certification candidate as determined by the EVMP® Certification Board; and all Participants must adhere to the EVMI®’s Honor Code at: www.evmi.com/the-evmi-honor-code

EVMP® CERTIFICATION PART B: (24 hours) (Testing of Applied) – CASE STUDY

PART B: CASE STUDY (24 HOURS) – REQUIRES 25 PARTICIPANTS PER EACH GROUP

EVMP® Certification Part B Case Study requires that each group of 25 participants complete and present their case study via taped Video and complete 5 questions related to their given case study.

**PLEASE NOTE: On their case study, each group of 25 Participants will answer questions related to accountability, oversight, transparency; leadership, quality management, risk management, control account management, change management, time management, problem solving, crisis management, contract management and EIA 748-D EVMS industry standard compliance.

**PLEASE NOTE: To become EVMP® certified you must score an 80% passing grade on your EVMP® credential certification examination given for PART A; and score an 80% and above on the PART B case study to attain EVMI®’s EVMP® credential certification

PART B – CASE STUDY (Testing of Team Work, Strategy & Execution):

All Participants must complete by working together as team their Case study based on a multi-million dollar/multi-billion dollar project and present their findings/answers together as a group for a group grade of 80% or more as the passing grade
